I always remember your Songs, they just keep playing in my head. Every one of them, had deep meanings, relating to our everyday life activities and struggles. You would be greatly missed Sultan, Rest Easy🕊💔

Your transition has brought nothing but intense pain and hurt to everyone far and near but in all we are thankful to God for your life cause it was a life very well lived. Been an ardent fan of your beautiful sound, lyrics, word play and life over all from the early stages of my life and I am proud to say this over and over again. You were one of the artists who made me appreciate a good lyrics over beat anytime. You were a fighter, not just for freedom but in every sense of it. Your creativity and talents were out of this world, your love for people was so deep and genuine, your love and faith in God was so strong and your humility is worth emulating. You stayed relevant in a world full of so much talents even to the end, you celebrated others even when the curtains of your life was drawing close, oh what a wonderful being you were. The tributes have all been mind blowing. We all wish we could have you more to ourselves for a longer period of time, but guess God loves you too much to watch you in pains and the angels needed a new musician in there band. Sound Sultan, I don't need to tell you e se orun ire, cause even while on this earth, e se aye ire. Your are forever in our hearts, your are forever celebrated and your legacies will surely live on. Rest in Peace and Power Legend.

Rest In Peace brother. On a personal note I enjoyed the chats we had about your shows, music, local basekball - we always ended each chat with a promise to “explore further”.Good healthy chats about topics that are of interest to both of us. On a business level - it was an honour to always support your initiatives on our platforms. It was a perfect fit and we shall continue to engage with those who will carry the torch forward.

The first day I saw Sound was at an event durinsg my undergraduate days in LASU, different artiste had performed doing rap and R&B, trying so hard to sound foreign. Then came this guy who sang 'ghen ghen' and by the time he was half way through his performance, the whole place was rocking with the refrain. Akin Akindele was the MC that night, he brought him back on stage and boldly declared that for daring to be different and original, we should watch out for him. I remember going to him after the show to shyly ak for a photograph and the humility with which he attended to everyone should be studied.I never had any close encounter with him after that but each time I see the picture or any other one at that, it always reminds me of his talent, his humility and person. Not long after that experience he dropped jagbajantis and I had just been a fan since then. When I learnt he had cancer, I remember going to his page and I saw a video of him being fine, I was happy to see he was doing well, like he was family. Imagine the shock when I got the news that he died. I broke the news to my family like he was a member of the family. His ever present smile anytime I see his videos being played or hjs pictures still move me to tears. Rest in peace Sound Sultan.

To know you was to know a peace maker,a true confidant & a thoughtful rare gem. What you gave back in LASU days was a legacy to be reckoned with. As much as I hate to write this,as much that I know you are fairing well in heaven. You will be miss forever and always 💔. The beautiful moments you shared with us will always speak of a great person you were. Rest in peace up in heaven!
