With barely a month to the biggest entertainment conference in West Africa, Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NECLive), ID Africa has partnered with African Movie Channel AMC for the ninth edition.
Slated to hold on Friday, April 29, 2022, at Landmark, Lagos, NECLive will be returning as a hybrid event, and ID Africa’s partnership with AMC is expected to help the event reach over 20 million people watching on the respected channel and other Cable TV.
AMC has been a proponent of African talent, initiatives, creatives and entertainment. Launched in February 2005 as African Movie Channel UK Limited, AMC started operation in April 2006 as a channel dedicated to top-quality Nollywood and other African movies.
For the past eight editions, NECLive has successfully played a vital role in engaging industry leaders in the entertainment industry, and this ninth edition themed, “Sustaining The Africa Momentum”, is geared toward using technology and digital means to build and sustain the progress made so far.
Speaking ahead of the event, Femi Falodun, CEO of ID Africa, said:
“Creativity, pop culture, technology and youthful energy are some of the most powerful forces that can create meaningful social and economic change in Africa today and tomorrow. The true potential of Africa’s creative sector will be fully unlocked when practitioners have acquired the necessary skills and tapped into the growing global interest in the unique African offering. This is why NECLive9 is bringing together key industry players from across the continent for a much-needed conversation on how to sustain the Africa momentum.”
NECLive9 is organised by ID Africa in partnership with Hip TV, MTV Base, Trace TV, 7Even Interactive Limited, AV Edge, Huce Valeris, The GreenRoom Nigeria, Landmark, MultiChoice, Legit.ng, Plaqad, BHM, Mirus Events, Black Cabal Media, and X3m Ideas.
