Victor Sanchez Aghahowa

Victor Sanchez Aghahowa is a Nigerian screenwriter, director, and producer with a career spanning more than two decades. His journey includes roles as writer and assistant director to showrunner and executive producer on numerous successful TV shows and films across the continent.

In 2001, he completed the first draft of his screenplay “Letters to a Stranger.” In 2003, he created and sold his inaugural TV show, “Bachelors.” He joined the inaugural writer’s room for West Africa’s largest show in 2005, “Tinsel,” and served as an assistant director on Nigeria’s most prominent reality show in 2008 “The Apprentice Africa”.

Victor started directing multiple projects with Multichoice in 2009 and in 2012, he created and directed the first web series in West Africa to run a full season, “How She Left My Brother” before taking on the role of showrunner and executive producer for TV with “Dowry” on EbonyLife TV.

Victor has since contributed to notable shows such as ‘MTV Shuga’, ‘Hush’,’ Jemeji’, ‘Enakhe’, and ‘Diiche’. He has presently written, directed, and produced over 1000 hours of content and contributed to the creation of over 30 successful TV and film projects.

He is recognized for imparting storytelling and writing knowledge through classes at various universities and training institutions. Victor also serves as a sought-after consultant, specializing in optimizing production systems and script development for numerous media entities.
Currently, he holds the position of Head of Production, West Africa, for Multichoice Africa.
