ID Africa partners with Beat FM for the ninth edition of NECLive themed, Sustaining The Africa Momentum

As African creators, producers, musicians, and other proponents of the continent’s entertainment and creative industry prepare for the ninth edition of the Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NECLive), the conference organizer, ID Africa has announced Beat FM as one of the media partners of NECLive9.

Founded in 2003, it focuses primarily on music, information and the Nigerian entertainment industry.

NECLive will return as a hybrid event on Friday, April 29, 2022, and Beat FM, a Lagos-based radio station centered on music, information and the Nigerian entertainment industry will provide media support through their prestigious media platforms to reach millions across the continent and beyond.

Since its inception in 2013, NECLive has been pivotal in driving the industry’s success by engaging relevant bodies and key players. This year’s edition, themed Sustaining The Africa Momentum, will have key players in the entertainment industry share their experiences, ask thought-provoking questions, brainstorm and seek to proffer solutions to the challenges facing the industry, and ensure the sustainability of the progress being made.

Speaking on the need to ensure sustainability and build on the progress the African entertainment industry has made so far, Femi Falodun, CEO of ID Africa, said:

“Creativity, pop culture, technology and youthful energy are some of the most powerful forces that can create meaningful social and economic change in Africa today and tomorrow. ID Africa Confirms Nancy Isime as Speaker at Ninth Nigerian Entertainment Conference

NECLive: ID Africa confirms Nancy Isime as Speaker For Ninth Edition

ID Africa has confirmed Nancy Isime as a speaker at Nigeria’s entertainment conference, NECLive9. Nancy Isime is an award-winning media personality who is currently the executive producer and creator of ‘The Nancy Isime Show’, which she started in 2019. She is also the CEO of Nips Studios.

Aside from broadcasting, Isime is also an actress, as she featured in her first TV series, ‘Echoes’, in 2011. In 2022, she was nominated for Best Actress in A Comedy for her role in ‘Kambili: The Whole 30 Yards’ and Best Actress in A Drama for ‘Superstar.’ For NECLive9, the media personality will join a host of experts in the entertainment industry to deliberate on the theme ‘Sustaining The Africa Momentum.’

NECLive9 will hold on Friday, April 29, 2022, at Landmark Event Centre in Lagos and simultaneously broadcast live on Hip TV (DStv and GOtv) and online platforms.

Tolulope Adeleru-Balogun, News Central TV’s Head of Programmes, Confirmed as NECLive9 Speaker

Tolulope Adeleru-Balogun, the Head of Programmes at News Central, a pan-African TV station broadcasting from Lagos, Nigeria, has been confirmed as a speaker at the ninth edition of the Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NECLive), that will hold on Friday, April 29, 2022, at the Landmark Event Centre, in Lagos.

Adeleru-Balogun, a multimedia journalist and CNN Journalism Fellow, was the host of the top-rated ‘Morning Crossfire’ on Nigeria Info.

In a media career spanning over a decade, she has interviewed several African creatives and consulted with non-governmental organisations to work on media campaigns to aid civic participation, government transparency, and accountability. She has further participated in panel sessions regarding African Innovation.

Music Producer, Tee-Y Mix, Confirmed as NECLive9 Speaker

Music producer, Temitayo Ibitoye, popularly known as Tee-Y Mix has been confirmed as one of the speakers at the ninth edition of the Nigeria Entertainment Conference (NECLive), West Africa’s largest and longest-running entertainment conference happening on Friday, April 29 2022, at Landmark Event Centre, in Lagos.

Tee-Y Mix is the CEO and Founder of Vivace Records, a record label launched in 2014 to help alleviate the pain of talented artistes who struggle to realise their potential in the music industry. He appeared as a judge on Project Fame West Africa in 2008 and won the Headies Award for Best Music Producer in 2012. As a music producer and songwriter, Tee-Y mix has worked with Sound Sultan, Davido, Iyanya, Reekado Banks, 9ice, Seyi Shay, Darey Art-Alade and a wide range of Nigerian music stars.

Osi Suave, Beat FM’s On-Air Personality, will participate in the 9th edition of the Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NECLive) as a speaker.

NECLive is a pan-African event that features the biggest gathering of professionals in the Nigerian entertainment industry. The Conference has hosted over 100 intellectuals and speakers as well over 20,000 live participants since its inception in 2013.

This year’s edition is centred on the theme “Sustaining the African Momentum”. Osi Suave will join the conversation as crucial industry stakeholders engage in the very-much needed discourse focusing on economic power for self and country, opportunities via communities of Africans in the diaspora and social impact and development through entertainment.

Akin Oyebode, Ekiti Finance Commissioner, joins multinational roster of speakers at NECLive9

ID Africa has announced Akin Oyebode, Ekiti State Commissioner for Finance and Economic Development as a speaker at the ninth edition of the Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NECLive), West Africa’s biggest and longest-running entertainment conference.

Oyebode, a trained Economist with a banking career spanning over a decade, was the pioneer Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) before the Ekiti State Government tapped him as Special Adviser to Governor Kayode Fayemi on Investment, Trade and Innovations in 2018. In 2020, he was appointed Finance Commissioner for the state.

“The theme of this year’s NECLive, Sustaining the Africa Momentum, speaks clearly to the renewed optimism that Africa is set for a period of sustained growth, driven by its ambitious continental free trade area,” Oyebode said. “I am pleased to join other speakers in interrogating this theme at what has become the leading conference on entertainment, since it launched in 2013.”
