Osi Suave, Beat FM’s On-Air Personality, will participate in the 9th edition of the Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NECLive) as a speaker.

NECLive is a pan-African event that features the biggest gathering of professionals in the Nigerian entertainment industry. The Conference has hosted over 100 intellectuals and speakers as well over 20,000 live participants since its inception in 2013.

This year’s edition is centred on the theme “Sustaining the African Momentum”. Osi Suave will join the conversation as crucial industry stakeholders engage in the very-much needed discourse focusing on economic power for self and country, opportunities via communities of Africans in the diaspora and social impact and development through entertainment.

NECLive9 will hold on Friday, April 29, 2022, at Landmark Event Centre in Lagos and simultaneously broadcast live on Hip TV (DStv and GOtv) and online platforms.

Akin Oyebode, Ekiti Finance Commissioner, joins multinational roster of speakers at NECLive9

ID Africa has announced Akin Oyebode, Ekiti State Commissioner for Finance and Economic Development as a speaker at the ninth edition of the Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NECLive), West Africa’s biggest and longest-running entertainment conference.

Oyebode, a trained Economist with a banking career spanning over a decade, was the pioneer Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) before the Ekiti State Government tapped him as Special Adviser to Governor Kayode Fayemi on Investment, Trade and Innovations in 2018. In 2020, he was appointed Finance Commissioner for the state.

“The theme of this year’s NECLive, Sustaining the Africa Momentum, speaks clearly to the renewed optimism that Africa is set for a period of sustained growth, driven by its ambitious continental free trade area,” Oyebode said. “I am pleased to join other speakers in interrogating this theme at what has become the leading conference on entertainment, since it launched in 2013.”

Oyebode, a 2019 Tutu Fellow, joins a multinational roster of speakers that include Dr. Busola Tejumola, the Executive Head of Content and West Africa Channels at MultiChoice, Anyiko Owoko from Kenya, actor and comedian Debo ‘Mr Macaroni’ Adebayo, Founder of ChessInSlums, Tunde Onakoya, Aline Gahongayire, Rwandan gospel music star, Broadcaster Osi Suave, Sam Onyemelukwe, media executive, among others, at the pan-African conference that will take place on Friday, April 29, 2022, at the Landmark Event Centre, in Lagos.

Nigerian Idol Judge, Obi Asika Confirmed to Speak at NECLive9

Obi Asika, creative industries entrepreneur and Nigerian Idol Season 7 judge, will speak at the ninth edition of the Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NECLive) on April 29th, 2022.

The founder and CEO of Storm 360, an indigenous music label, and founding partner of Dragon Africa, a strategic communications firm is renowned for his significant influence in Nigeria’s music industry and is prominent for laying the infrastructure for the growth and development of the media and entertainment industry. Obi Asika music label spawned talented entertainers like Naeto C, Ikechukwu, Sasha P, Tosin Martins, and Yung 6ix.

At NECLive9, Obi Asika will engage other creative geniuses in the industry on how to sustain Africa’s momentum in the entertainment space. Crown Troupe of Africa is confirmed to perform at Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NECLive), West Africa’s most significant and longest-running entertainment gathering.

A vital stakeholder in the entertainment industry, Crown Troupe of Africa, is a total-theatre company committed to awakening people’s consciousness to the social issues that affect them through their live theatre entertainment performances.

Crown Troupe of Africa has performed on many significant stages, including Contacting The World, an international youth theatre festival hosted by Manchester-based Contact Theatre in 2002. The creative artistes will perform at NECLive9 on Friday, April 29, 2022, at  Landmark Event Centre in Lagos.

With only a few weeks to the Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NECLive), ID Africa confirms Anyiko Owoko as one of the speakers for the event.

She juggled jobs between the BBC Nairobi Bureau as a broadcast assistant and Kenya’s National Broadcaster as a TV host during her undergraduate days. With diverse work experience, Anyiko rose to become one of Africa’s most influential women in music, with a knack in promoting artists.

As the African entertainment industry gears up for another exciting ninth edition of the Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NECLive), ID Africa confirms Mozez Praiz as one of the speakers of the reputed largest entertainment and creative gathering in West Africa.

Known for his engaging and galvanising TV presentations, Praiz is the anchor of Naija Made, a DStv sports programme focused on the Nigerian premier league.

Dr Busola Tejumola has been confirmed as one of the speakers for this year’s Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NECLive) which will hold as a special hybrid event on Friday, April 29, 2022.

Tejumola is the Executive Head of Content and West Africa Channels at MultiChoice, a role that allows her to drive the end to end development and execution of content strategy for MultiChoice Nigeria including the Africa Magic and Akwaaba Group Channels, strongly contributing to the growth and bottom-line of the business.

She holds a PhD in Management Information Systems from Brunel University, London and will be speaking on issues related to the theme of the conference:  “Sustaining The Africa Momentum”

Rwandan Gospel Singer and TV Host, Aline Gahongayire to Speak at NECLive9 

ID Africa has confirmed that Rwandan gospel singer, Aline Gahongayire, will be speaking at the ninth edition of the Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NECLive).

Aline Gahongayire is an award-winning artiste from Kigali, Rwanda, known for her inspirational and spirit-filled songs. The songwriter is famed for her powerful singing voice.

Aside from music, she has also featured in the educational Christian movie ‘Ikigeragezo cy’ubuzima.’ Gahongayire is also a TV host and the founder of Ineza Initiative- a giving back to the community project which focuses on touching the lives of women and children.

For the highly anticipated entertainment conference, speakers and participants will discuss the theme “Sustaining The African Momentum.” focusing on economic power for self and country, opportunities via communities of Africans in the diaspora and social impact and development through entertainment.

Tunde Onakoya, the founder of Chess in Slums Africa will speak at the biggest and longest-running entertainment conference in West Africa, Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NECLive).

The conference which is in its ninth edition will return as a hybrid event on Friday, April 29, 2022, at Landmark Event Centre.

Onakoya has been using the Chess in Slums initiative to provide help to children living in slums. In 2021, Neusroom did a special report released in a series detailing the stories of some of the children and adults living under the bridges in Oshodi who have benefitted from the initiative.
