Jacob Akinyemi-Johnson, Veteran Broadcaster, Confirmed as NECLive9 Speaker

Jacob Akinyemi-Johnson, the Chief Creative Officer at Silverbird Communications and Vice-Chairman Editorial Board has been confirmed as a speaker at the ninth edition of the Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NECLive), which will hold on Friday, April 29, 2022, at the Landmark Event Centre, in Lagos.

Akinyemi-Johnson is a broadcast journalist, on-air personality, news anchor, and media consultant in a career that has spanned more than four decades. In 2021, he voiced NECLive8 special broadcast.

He joins other speakers like Akin Oyebode, Ekiti State Commissioner for Finance, Dr Busola Tejumola, the Executive Head of Content and West Africa Channels at MultiChoice, Anyiko Owoko from Kenya, actor and comedian Debo ‘Mr Macaroni’ Adebayo, Founder of ChessInSlums, Tunde Onakoya, Aline Gahongayire, Rwandan gospel music star, Broadcaster Osi Suave, and Sam Onyemelukwe, media executive.

NECLive is West Africa’s biggest and longest-running gathering of entertainment and creative industry professionals – and in 2022, the conference themed ‘Sustaining The Africa Momentum’, will bring together policymakers, entertainers, media and stakeholders in Africa’s creative and entertainment industry, as well as performers interacting with a live audience from around the world.

NECLive9 is organised by ID Africa in partnership with Big Cabal Media, Legit, MTV Base, Hip TV, Trace TV, 7even Interactive, Landmark Centre, AV Edge, Huce Valeris, BHM, Plaqad, GreenRoom, Mirus Events, African Movie Channel, X3m Ideas, Hit FM, Beat FM, Naija FM, Classic FM, Top Radio, Pinpoint Media, News Central TV, K-Square, One Data, Seats and Tickets, Alla Dave, and DJ Jimmy Jatt.

The hybrid conference will also be simultaneously broadcast live on Hip TV (DStv and GOtv) and online platforms.
