I have mixed feelings as I write. I feel good because what started out as a wish, an idea to bring the creative and entertainment industry in Nigeria together annually has become a reality. There was the pleasant surprise of the success of our debut last year, and the amazing support this year’s event has received from far and near. Today should be indeed a happy day. But it’s not. I feel pain because I know that there’s so much work to be done. And we’re not even scratching the surface….

Omotola, 2Face to speak at Nigerian Entertainment Conference – Daily Independent

This year’s edition of the Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NEC), will hold on Wednesday, April 23.

The conference will take place at the Grand Ball Room of Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos.

In a statement made available to Klieg Light, the conference chairman, Ayeni Adekunle, said: “We are back at Eko Hotel & Suites for the whole day on Wednesday April 23, with even bigger speakers, remarkable panelists and participants from across the country.”

Confirmed speakers and panelists according to him include, actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, pop icon, 2Face Idibia, co-founder of Jobberman, Ope Awoyemi, revered showbiz consultant, Edi Lawani and Founder/CEO of Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), Peace Anyam-Osigwe.

Omotola, 2face, Basket Mouth to speak at Nigeria Entertainment Conference

Star actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, music star, 2face Idibia and foremost comedian, “Basket Mouth’’ are among the main speakers at this year’s Nigeria Entertainment Conference scheduled for April 23 in Lagos.

This is contained in a statement by the convener of the conference, Mr Adekunle Ayeni, made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Lagos.

Adekunle said that the event, which was entering its second year, would hold at the Grand Ball Room of Eko Hotel and Suites Lagos.

“We’re back at Eko for the whole day on Wednesday April 23, with even bigger speakers, remarkable panelists and participants from across the country.’’
