Here’s everything you need to know about the 8th Wonda.

It’s a global celebration of life.

Sound Sultan’s life and legacy reach the four corners of the world – so the tribute event will be held simultaneously in four cities – Lagos, London, New York and Atlanta. The tribute in Lagos will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Terra Kulture by 7 pm.

Performances to honour the king of sound

The event is expected to feature performances from a long list of Sound Sultan’s friends, colleagues, as well as those who drew inspiration from him. It celebrates his life and times as family, fans, and friends will also relive his fond memories.

Live virtual coverage

The tribute will be live-streamed on Sound Sultan’s YouTube and Facebook page. Live coverage will also be available on the Netng website and social media platforms. Hip TV will broadcast the events live.

Femi Falodun, the CEO of ID Africa, organisers of NECLive, in a statement said, “Sound Sultan’s physical form might have departed the world, but his unique voice, his conscious lyrics, his acts of kindness, his positive message and most of all, the wonderful memories he left us with will live forever in our hearts.”

It will be a moment to celebrate the man who made great music and used his music for education and social commentary.
