Chidi Aneto-Okeke confirmed as panelist at NECLive 2025

Chidi Aneto-Okeke

Chidi Aneto-Okeke is a Nigerian entrepreneur and the founder and CEO of Groove Platforms, the company behind uduX, an indigenous music streaming service. With nearly two decades of experience in entertainment and media across sub-Saharan Africa, he is a leading figure in the African digital music industry. Since establishing Groove Platforms in 2017, Aneto-Okeke has built a comprehensive music tech ecosystem that includes uduX.

Throughout his career, he has secured key partnerships with major international music labels such as Universal Music Group, Sony Music, and Warner Music, significantly expanding uduX’s music library. Before Groove Platforms, he founded and led Mcomm Solutions & Services from 2011 to 2017, offering content, mobile technology, and music-based solutions. His career in telecommunications and music began at MTech Communications, where he served as Group Managing Director of MTech Communications PLC from 2009 to 2011 and General Manager of MTech Communications Ghana from 2005 to 2009.

Ojoma Ochai confirmed as panelist at NECLive 2025

Ojoma Ochai

Ojoma Ochai is a Nigerian innovation strategist and leader, currently serving as the Managing Director of Co-creation Hub (CcHUB), Africa’s largest innovation centre. Appointed in December 2023, she oversees efforts to support and invest in tech and creative entrepreneurs across the continent, with a focus on using innovation to drive social impact. She previously co-founded and led CcHUB’s Creative Economy Practice, which integrates technology into Africa’s creative industries.

Beyond CcHUB, Ochai holds several influential roles. She serves on the board of ₿trust, a Bitcoin development fund founded by Jay-Z and Jack Dorsey, and chairs the African Tech and Creative Group, working to ensure African businesses benefit from the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). Since 2012, she has also been a member of UNESCO’s Global Expert Panel on cultural diversity. She is the co-founder of Pixel Ray Studios, a global film and audiovisual infrastructure company, and has advised organizations like the World Bank and the Swedish Arts Council.

From 2010 to 2021, Ochai worked with the British Council in various leadership roles, including Regional Director for Arts and Creative Economy Programmes in Sub-Saharan Africa. She has been widely recognized for her contributions, listed among the “100 Most Influential Nigerians” and “100 Most Inspiring Women in Nigeria” in 2015.

David Adeleke

David Adeleke is a media founder, strategist, and storyteller shaping the future of Africa’s creative economy. He is the founder and CEO of Communiqué, a media and intelligence company reaching over 140,000 creators, investors, and policymakers across 105 countries.

Previously, he was Africa Editor at Rest of World, led Business Insider Africa, and held roles at Ventures Africa and TechCabal. His work has appeared in The Guardian, Al Jazeera, Reuters, Semafor, and The Continent.

He is a Media and Journalism Fellow with the Charles Koch Institute, studied Mass Communication at Covenant University, and earned credentials from Yale, Copenhagen Business School, and London Business School.

Qudus Onikeku confirmed as panelist at NECLive 2025

Qudus Onikeku

Qudus Onikeku is a Nigerian dancer, choreographer, and multidisciplinary artist known for blending Yoruba culture with contemporary dance, hip-hop, and acrobatics. His powerful, movement-driven work explores themes like memory and identity, rooted in traditional Yoruba philosophy. After founding his dance company YK Projects in France and gaining acclaim with works such as My Exile is in My Head and Qaddish, he returned to Nigeria in 2014 to co-found The QDance Center in Lagos,a creative hub for training and artistic development.

Onikeku has performed in over 60 countries at major festivals and exhibitions, including the Venice Biennale, Festival d’Avignon, RomaEuropa, TED Global, and more. His work is in the permanent collection of the National Gallery of Canada, and he has taught as a visiting professor at UC Davis and Columbia College Chicago. From 2019 to 2022, he was the first Maker in Residence at the University of Florida’s Center for Arts, Migration, and Entrepreneurship.

He is also the founder of the Afropolis Festival, CEO of the J. Randle Centre for Yorùbá Culture and History.

Shaibu Husseini confirmed as panelist at NECLive 2025

Shaibu Husseini

Dr. Shaibu Husseini is the Director General and Chief Executive Officer of Nigeria’s Film and Video Regulatory Agency—the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB). A foremost culture, theatre, film and creative industry expert, he is widely regarded as one of Nollywood’s most consistent documentarists. He holds a First Class BSc degree in Mass Communication (LASU), an MSc (Distinction), and a PhD in Mass Communication, both degrees obtained from the University of Lagos. An alumnus of the U.S. International Visitors Leadership Programme and the AIG Public Leaders Programme at Oxford University, he previously held leadership positions at the National Theatre/National Troupe of Nigeria including serving as the Secretary.

For over three decades, Shaibu has worked as a journalist with The Guardian.
